Hello To Honesty

Well sometimes we all know that the big "TRUTH" word hurts but wow this time I think it left a mark. OUCH!

The other day I was sitting on the couch watching a movie with Matthew, Spencer and Maggie. I looked over and noticed Spencer sitting all cute and cuddly at the end of the couch and I went and sat by him. I told him I wanted some "Mother Lovings" and he crawled into my lap and we started to cuddle.

After sometime I asked, "Why don't you cuddle me anymore?" His reply was, "You have Kendal to cuddle now." WHAT? Have I only been cuddling the BABY? I didn't mean for it to be like that. Well here is a great lesson to learn from the GREATEST 6 year old I know.

This boy is and has always been 100% devoted to the baby that took his mommy cuddles away. If only we all could love like this!

How could I have ever known that this was the way that he felt when he has so much love to overlook it and be the best big brother a Kendal could ever know.

Another Preschool Year Gone

Greetings from Miss Christy. It has been such a great year of preschool! I have watched some incredible kiddos grow and learn in fantastic ways. As excited as I am about how much they learn there are always lessons along the way that I learn from them. I am the luckiest lady to get to know and have SO many friends. I will miss all of them!

Dear Maggie,

Daddy and I love you so much and we just can't believe that you are five. You have waited so long for this day because you just knew that after you turned five the sky was the limit. Well my dear sweet five year old princess it doesn't matter how old you are you have so much drive, such a sweet spirit and an awesome sense of fun that you will always find ways to "SOAR". We were invited to Zhenis's birthday at the Phoenix zoo. Jeremiah had an outing so I took the kiddos all by myself respiratory infection and all. At first I was feeling a bit put out (WAAA) but after all was said and done I was glad it got me out of the house with the crazy kids that I love.

On Tuesday this week Matthew came running home yelling that he won an Ipod and that he was the "LUCKIEST" kid on Earth. Well here is the news and luck had nothing to do with it.

My grandma Lola lived in an era of trustworthiness and honesty. Family time was spent outdoors. Today there is not that much trust. And most family time is spent with electronic entertainment. Does that affect our goals?
Grandma Lola had to use her imagination. She used to build tree houses, a different one every summer. I get amused by others imagination. I enjoy playing Super Smash Brothers. I have fun by a flip of a switch!
She had a dream to serve others, be a wife and a mother. Her life is full of hard work. She tends a garden, bakes for weddings and quilts with her free time. She has five children and nine grandchildren. Grandma Lola is right setting goals makes you happy. My dream is to be a great scientist that helps the world. Both dreams give dedication to others.
Love, honesty, respect and fairness are important to her life. She says, “Without them life would be dark and cloudy.” Her three wishes for the world are to restore trustworthiness and honesty, serve a church mission and for family values to strengthen. My grandmas and I are similar because I want to serve a mission for my church and I can see that the world needs to become better.
The world may change the way my grandma and I lived our young lives but our goals are the same. My grandma wanted to help other people by serving and I want to help by being a Scientist. We both want to serve missions for our church. And I too want a great family. What do you think about my grandma? I feel very good about my grandma and I hope to live my life in a great way like she does.
